Come On! I want to play MechWarrior 4 now but I think that Light is right. They do that alot and I hate waiting for stuff like this. Someone told me that there father talks to one of the guys that maintain MechWarrior 4 ( dont know if its true or not ) says it is supposed to be out any time now on here but I dont think so. I just want to play because I love to play MechWarrior Games!

I am running Windows 7.
Windows 7 is supported on my hardware that had Vista 64. I have been reloading lots of games and software (such as Rosetta Stone for XP) with fantastic luck so far.
I will be interested in anyone using Windows 7. Really looking forward to this!

For sure it’s takin’ a while and most of us were expectin’ it to be released sooner but you’ve gotta remember that it’ll be free and that mean these people are also workin’ for free to get the whole thing set.

I’m in agreement Mech Cat. Guys you have to show some patience here. Keep in mind that even though they have different teams with Mektek; They do work on more than one project. Remember, they’re also working on AT1, as well as working on the final touches to their fourth and final Mechpak for Mercenaries which is dealing with a lot of work, seeing as how they’re practicly revamping the whole system, bringing back a lot of older tech like MASC, and finishing with working out the bugs. These guys are about quality rather than getting something like this out quickly. And they’re also working on getting their servers upgraded to deal with increased download and online game play traffic. It’ll be out soon. If they say by a certain month; it’ll be out somewhere doing that month. So hang tight. And I’ll see all of you on the battlefield!

they are really shooting themselves to leg with this, making intrested people come here to check this site daily (they should have other content updated for us to see here).
it’s counterproductive to leave us hanging about when it’s going to release, while they could have us drumming the news of MW4 coming downloadable on a certain day.
and if there is something to tweak in the game, making it hard to pinpoin exact date, they could just come clean eith it and tell us that “it will be available after we’ve fixed this other thing”.
anyways, i’m really exited about the new mechwarrior and would like to get my initiation going with this MW4
just giving my opinion, not pointing fingers or blaming anyone.
What I want to know is.. where the heck I saw the quote from Jordan touching on a 25th redo of the CBT box set. I SAW that somewhere and I am waiting to see what they will be changing/updating in it. I will pre-order that sucker if they can release some news on it.
In MW4 news… we need to know which OS’s it will run on, and if it will be individual or a single executable or both, Etc… So we can finally open our rigs, refill the coolant, clean out the dirt, re-apply some thermal grease and get ready to fry our graphics cards blowing things up again.
O.O I wonder if they are tweaking the Criticals or mechbay, or damages… just the kind of thing to keep silent about.
I still have Merc’s on my laptop and play to this day. I can’t wait to get back on-line with everyone!

I hope that they also mean they’ll be releasing the Clan and IS ‘MechPacks for free as well. I miss being able to fight in a Hunchback.
What they are waiting on is to see how many fish they can catch. It’s a big game. The machines we have will not run the old or the new programs. More expense for you and me, new computers, graph cards, memory, the whole ball of wax. Nothing is for free. AS you will find out.
Ummm…wow, anybody heard of either “google” or “reading the whole thread”? Check mektek.net for info. There will be scores of mechs more than the original M$ release, many more weapons, a single installer, auto-updates, replacement for zonematch, etc. Most of this stuff has been around, but of course not with the whole free release of mercs. vengeance and black knight won’t be released right away, but they’ve said they intend to release the campaigns (the important part) as add-ons for the release later. There are already clans and leagues and whatnot of players, of course there will be more once the free release happens. Also, in an update they said they are still on track for a release in August, and they do indeed mention some of the remaining items before release. Oh, and – it will work on Vista 32- and 64-bit, along with any Windows versions it’s worked on before. Linux and Mac I’m not sure about, but I’m sure it’ll have about the same level of compatibility with wine as the original release of mercs. Don’t complain about info not existing until you’ve checked.

Ok..I have been on the zone Back in early 2000..till the end of MW3 & 4…Yea back when the rooms had big numbers…I played as long as i could! 3 comps later and almost 10yrs now, i see we are going too be able too play again!!! sweet..is Mektek going too host like the zone did? i will assume they will do better..And being Free!!! wow lots of newbies..Got too get the BIG word out blow up like AArmy..haha i wish..Doods i have all The games even MW3 still..BUT lost some of the codes..GOSH i want too missle boat some novas…

Looks like the news caused the number of seeds and leechers for the Mechwarrior 4 torrent on Pirate Bay to increase, or should I say the lack of news when its being released. It went from 4 seeds to over 1200 in the last 3 weeks. I assume Mechwarrior 4 is now in the public domain?
Cant wait to play MW4 again and with Mekteks expansions this will be cool!
