MechCorps’ Mobile Armor Division is currently deployed to the Hilton Lafayette in Lafayette, Louisiana during MechaCon V (running today through the 26th!).
The Mission: Recruit, Train and Establish the Sheriff and Deputy MechWarriors for the great state of Louisiana.
In MechCorps’ first deployment to MechaCon IV in 2008 hundreds of raw recruits were introduced to the exhilaration of piloting a 70-ton, 3-story tall humanoid tank armed to the teeth with lasers, missiles, cannons and all manner of weaponry to take on all foes…including friends.
During MechaCon V, new pilots will be inducted and old pilots will be brought up to speed to prepare for the Main Event on Saturday, July 25th. The MechaCon V Gunslinger will be a double-elemination dueling event where pilots will battle each other for prizes and the honor of being promoted to MechWarrior Sheriff and Deputy of the region.
